translation placements and jobs

Just arrived on our desk: the German LSP transcultura is looking for a project manager/translator working out of German into English, Spanish or Italian.

And a few more placement opportunities:

MO Group International is advertising internship opportunities to translation students looking for work experience in translation, proofreading and localisation. German, French or Dutch native speakers preferred. The expiry date for this round is 12 June.

Thinking about a future specialism in financial translation? The European Central Bank sometimes advertises translation internships. Deutsche Bank also has a placement scheme for English or German speakers working out of German and English, respectively. Contact Eva Hillesheim at +49 (069) 910-38839.

An internship (minimum length 5 months) with some living expenses paid is being advertised in Beijing for a new or imminent graduate translating from English into French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, or Traditional Chinese.

Readers in Ireland might like to keep an eye on the European Movement internship site, which sometimes advertises translation internships in Brussels and elsewhere.

More experienced translators might like to keep an eye on the job listing on the AIIC website and the UNjobs site. The World Intellectual Property Organisation in Geneva is advertising for a translator from English and French into Arabic (deadline 15 June).
