A legal translator of many years' experience, Juliette Scott is also writing a PhD in the School of Languages and Area Studies. This talk will describe current progress and challenges in her PhD project, which surveys the requirements of, and issues faced by, the receivers of legal translations, and aims to assist legal translators with genre-specific terminology through the use of corpora.
